The Secret Formula to Finish Your Novel!
The Four C’s That You Should Remember
We love secret formulas, don’t we? We want someone to give us the answer to make it easy, to put the magic to work so we can skyrocket to fame and success. I know that’s what I wanted when I was just starting out as a writer.
I don’t have magic for you, but the good news is that you don’t need it to finish your novel. What you need is a reliable method — a kind of secret formula — that will guide you from beginning to end.
If you had a brilliant idea that somehow fizzled out somewhere around Chapter 7. The characters stopped speaking. The plot got cloudy. You lost faith in the project, and maybe even in yourself. What has probably happened is that you are missing one of the steps in a method that we’ll call the Four C’s. This is what I want to share with you because it has helped me — and countless other writers that may call it something else, but it is essentially the same thing.
Here it is.
- Clarity to light the path,
- Consistency to build momentum,
- Center to keep your heart in the story, and
- Commitment to carry you across the finish line.
I will elaborate.
